Advanced Paralegal – Bermuda Operations

About the role

RGA is seeking an Advanced Paralegal to support its Bermuda operations. The role provides legal, governance and regulatory assistance, working closely with the Chief Legal Counsel, Head of Compliance and the Bermuda Monetary Authority.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate board and committee materials, including agendas, papers, minutes and resolutions.
• Maintain governance documentation and track action items and regulatory commitments.
• Assist with regulatory submissions, correspondence and responses to the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
• Support compliance frameworks, KYC and AML questionnaire responses, and reporting to senior management.
• Maintain an outsourcing log, review third‑party agreements and ensure alignment with Bermuda regulations.
• Provide executive support to the Chief Legal Counsel, including meeting preparation, briefing materials and tracking of legal initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Sciences or a related field.
• Experience in legal, governance or compliance environments, preferably within insurance or reinsurance.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple regulatory deliverables.
• Excellent written communication for drafting resolutions, reports and regulatory responses.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Bermuda regulatory framework and board governance processes.
• Familiarity with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti‑Money‑Laundering (AML) procedures.
• Proficiency in preparing legal and compliance documentation.
