AML Compliance Manager, Funds Services

About the role

The AML Compliance Manager, Funds Services is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day compliance within Fund Services, acting as both Money Laundering Reporting Officer and AML Compliance Officer. The role requires a deep understanding of Bermuda AML/ATF regulations and strong communication abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the SVP, Head of Compliance & Risk (Bermuda & Cayman) to maintain an effective control framework and ensure compliance with external laws, internal codes and policies.
• Take primary responsibility for Fund Services compliance, working cross‑functionally with client service teams and reporting directly to clients when needed.
• Partner with stakeholders to promote adherence to compliance policies, procedures and controls.
• Oversee compliance with the Proceeds of Crime (AML/ATF) Regulations 2008, Insurance Act 1978, Investment Funds Act 2006, Fund Administrator Provider Business Act 2019 and related codes of conduct.
• Respond to compliance queries, providing guidance on KYC and CDD for new and existing clients/investors and perform AML/ATF activities across all client service levels.
• Liaise with internal and external clients for problem resolution, relationship management and to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Review and report on client KYC documentation, updating records and monitoring onboarding policies, procedures and risk assessments.
• Act as Compliance Officer (CO) and Reporting Officer (RO) for Fund Administration clients, handling AML CO & RO responsibilities.
• Conduct due‑diligence reviews for onboarding of new clients.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of Bermuda AML/ATF regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with client service teams.
• Experience acting as Money Laundering Reporting Officer or AML Compliance Officer.
