About the role
Allshores is seeking a talented Benefits Education Specialist to join our team in Bermuda. The specialist serves as the organization’s trusted expert on health, life, and disability benefits, partnering with corporate clients, members, and internal teams to deliver engaging education, guide complex benefit matters, and create learning experiences that build confidence and understanding.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the internal point of contact for complex benefits questions across health, life, and disability, covering coverage, interpretation, and plan provisions.
- Resolve non‑routine and ambiguous coverage situations by researching policy, precedent, and regulatory guidance.
- Support corporate client meetings with technical benefits expertise, including renewals, plan design discussions, and employer education sessions.
- Deliver member education sessions on benefits, claims, and wellness resources.
- Design and deliver training for customer‑facing teams on products, plan changes, and regulatory developments.
- Create and maintain reference materials such as guides, FAQs, and quick‑reference content for customer‑facing teams.
- Monitor and interpret the regulatory environment and emerging benefits trends, advising on implications for plans and practices.
- Support audit and compliance preparation in coordination with legal and compliance colleagues.
- Contribute to stakeholder satisfaction through appropriate escalation and effective training of customer‑facing teams.
- Provide technical input to client proposals and presentations and ensure consistent benefits interpretation across the organization.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred; CEBS or equivalent certification valued.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in employee benefits administration, group health insurance, or related insurance specialization with deep product and coverage expertise.
- Experience handling complex or escalated cases; underwriting, claims, or product development experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Bermuda health insurance regulatory environment.
- Confident corporate‑meeting presence with strong teaching and facilitation capability and excellent written and verbal communication.
