Head of Training

About the role

BermudAir is looking for a Head of Training to lead its training department and set the highest standards for flight crew, ground operations and other personnel. Reporting directly to the Accountable Manager, the role is also a key member of the Safety Committee, contributing to the Safety Management System and promoting a customer-centric culture.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain training standards for all staff in line with OTAR and OM Part D.
• Oversee initial and recurrent training for flight crews and ground handling personnel.
• Manage and monitor contract training facilities so they match Company SOPs.
• Maintain and update the Company training manual and work with Training Captains, TREs and training organisations.
• Oversee applications and renewals for simulators, examiners and Line Training Captains.
• Contribute to the Safety Committee and make sure training meets safety objectives.

Required profile

• Valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or equivalent.
• At least 2 years' experience in a training or quality assurance role.
• Type qualification as PIC on at least one of the Company's aircraft types (OTAR 119).
• Proven experience managing and supervising complex training programmes.
• Leadership, communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative, empathetic approach and a strong customer-service mindset.
