Massage Therapist (Casual/On Call)

About the role

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, Bermuda's only luxury urban resort, is hiring a casual/on-call massage therapist. Reporting to the Lead Spa Therapist, the role covers delivering professional massage and body treatments to guests in a variety of modalities, while maintaining a clean, hygienic work environment and generating repeat business.

Key responsibilities

• Offer professional, proactive guest service and demonstrate Fairmont core values in all interactions
• Follow protocol for client greeting, goal setting, health history documentation and follow-up communications
• Deliver massage and body treatments in at least Swedish, Aromatherapy, Hot Stone, Body Scrub, Body Wrap, Deep Tissue, Sports, Prenatal and Reflexology
• Maintain a clean, hygienic workspace and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
• Generate sales by recommending and up-selling products and services, and maintain a repeat clientele
• Provide spa services in indoor and outdoor locations, and resolve guest concerns promptly
• Comply with corporate, hotel, departmental and safety policies, and follow Health & Safety training and guidelines set by Accor, local authorities and bodies such as the WHO and CDC
• Take part in hotel committees, special projects, events and promotions, and perform other departmental duties as required

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience in massage therapies in a luxury hotel environment is strongly preferred
• Diploma in Remedial Massage, Sports Massage or a degree in Physiotherapy is strongly preferred
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is strongly preferred
• Ability to stay calm and courteous, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Organised, able to prioritise and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, able to work extended hours including evenings, public holidays and weekends
