Outlet Captain

About the role

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, Bermuda's only luxury urban resort, is hiring an Outlet Captain. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage and the Outlet Manager, the Outlet Captain leads service staff, manages daily outlet operations and ensures the guest dining experience meets Fairmont standards. The position involves split shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Offer professional, proactive guest service and recommend food and beverage pairings
• Lead and coach service staff, and help manage colleague performance, timekeeping and appearance
• Manage daily outlet operations, respond to enquiries promptly and act in the Outlet Manager's absence
• Perform opening, side and closing duties, conduct daily staff briefings and keep work areas clean
• Follow cash-handling procedures, assist with weekly payroll and scheduling, and requisition and inventory supplies
• Provide bar and food service coverage, follow health and safety rules and comply with corporate policies

Required profile

• Hospitality degree or 2 years of F&B experience in an upscale, high-volume establishment (luxury hotel experience strongly preferred)
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience
• Fluent English, professional appearance and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work split shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Knowledge of the SW POS system (required); MS Word and Excel are an advantage
• Strong organisation and ability to work under pressure
