Summer Underwriting Intern – Bermuda

About the role

AIG is looking for a Summer Intern to join the Underwriting team in Bermuda. Over a 9‑week program you will work on real projects, support risk evaluation and learn the fundamentals of financial lines and excess casualty underwriting.

Key responsibilities

• Support evaluation and analysis of risks to determine coverage, terms and pricing.
• Review underwriting submissions, financial information, loss history and exposure data.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, renewals and other underwriting documentation.
• Collaborate with brokers, clients and internal partners such as Claims, Actuarial and Risk Engineering.
• Use data and analytical tools to assist underwriting decisions and portfolio management.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, graduating no later than June 2028.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
