U.S. Tax Intern

About the role

PwC's Tax Group in Bermuda offers internship positions within its Domestic Tax Compliance line of service. As an intern you will work in a team of consultants with extensive experience, helping clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will support offshore businesses, individuals and organisations with U.S., Bermuda and international tax strategy, planning and compliance, and deliver business advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare U.S. and/or Bermuda tax returns and other tax filings for clients, with a focus on insurance companies and investment funds
• Carry out tax research and draft tax technical research memoranda
• Meet with existing and potential clients to discuss tax issues
• Assist the team on tax compliance and consulting projects
• Develop your own and the team's technical knowledge and stay up to date with local and national business and economic issues
• Build internal relationships and your PwC brand

Required profile

• Bermudian status, or PR/CPR, spouse of a Bermudian, or immigration permission to seek employment in Bermuda
• Progress towards a Bachelor's degree at an accredited university with a minimum GPA of 3.2 (B+ average) or equivalent
• Highly organised, dedicated and self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and time-management skills

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Tax preparation, tax compliance and tax research

The firm can sponsor a work visa and requires government clearance. The internship is open to Bermudians and offers exposure to U.S., Bermuda and international tax compliance and consulting matters.
