U.S. Tax Senior Manager

About the role

PwC Bermuda is looking for a Senior Manager in its U.S. Tax team, within Domestic Tax Compliance. You will lead a team that advises clients on tax planning, compliance and strategy, helping them navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions. The role involves mentoring and coaching others while exercising independent judgment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering tax advice and guidance to clients, and coach and motivate team members.
• Identify underlying problems and opportunities, validate outcomes with clients and act on their feedback.
• Direct teams through complexity and ambiguity, making difficult decisions and escalating when needed.
• Develop and sustain high-performing, diverse and inclusive teams.
• Model professional and technical standards, the Firm's code of conduct and independence requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation or law from an accredited university.
• At least 7 years of U.S. taxation work experience with an international accounting firm or similar experience covering partnerships and corporations.
• Proven success as a team leader, including coaching staff and building client relationships.
• Completion of a U.S. CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent qualification preferred; candidates without it but with relevant U.S. tax experience will also be considered.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of U.S. tax compliance and consulting needs for the funds industry and investment funds.
• Advanced knowledge of tax compliance software, Microsoft Office and the latest tax technologies.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills.

The role requires government clearance, up to 20% travel and visa sponsorship is available.
