Room Attendant – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Southampton as our new Room Attendant. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Housekeeping, you will maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and comfort of guest rooms, ensuring high standards and exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and maintain guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and cleaning bathrooms to brand standards.
• Restock guest room amenities, supplies, and toiletries as required and stage welcome items according to guest preferences.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for cleaning or additional services while respecting privacy and security.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or operational concerns to the Executive Housekeeper and follow safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area, assist with special cleaning projects, and support the housekeeping team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping or room attendant experience preferred, ideally in a luxury hotel or resort.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail with high cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Professional customer‑service attitude, friendly and guest‑focused.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, operational protocols, and respect guest privacy.
• Organized, capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Reliable, adaptable, and committed to delivering excellence.
• Positive attitude with willingness to support colleagues and contribute to team culture.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
