US Tax Manager – Investment Management (Bermuda)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a US Tax Manager to lead tax engagements for investment management and reinsurance clients in Bermuda. You will oversee the full tax engagement cycle, stay current with US tax regulations, and leverage emerging technologies to deliver high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of financial services clients, ensuring compliance with US tax rules.
• Develop tax strategies, prepare and file US tax returns for partnerships and corporations.
• Lead and coach a tax team, providing training on tax tools and new technologies.
• Liaise with client staff and Deloitte stakeholders throughout engagements.
• Participate in Deloitte’s well‑being, sustainability, and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA).
• Professional designation allowing practice before the US IRS (US‑state CPA, attorney, or IRS Enrolled Agent).
• Minimum 5 years of tax experience in a professional services, law, or public accounting firm.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of US tax regulations for partnerships and corporations.
• Experience managing tax engagements and leading teams.
• Ability to train staff on tax tools and emerging technologies.
