Valet Attendant – Luxury Hotel Laundry & Uniform Services

About the role

The Valet Attendant joins Fairmont Southampton’s Housekeeping team to provide premium laundry, dry‑cleaning, and uniform services for guests and staff. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will ensure every garment is treated with the care and precision expected of a luxury resort.

Key responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, and document guest garments and colleague uniforms, identifying fabric types, stains, and special instructions.
• Operate laundry and dry‑cleaning equipment safely, applying appropriate cleaning, stain‑removal, pressing, and finishing techniques.
• Maintain accurate records, tag and label items, and ensure timely delivery of cleaned garments.
• Assist with uniform distribution, collection, and inventory tracking, reporting shortages or damages.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and other departments to support seamless operations during peak periods.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in dry‑cleaning, laundry, or valet services, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and physical capability to lift up to 40 lb.
