Camp Supervisor - Kids Explorer Camp

About the role

Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda's largest resort, is hiring a Camp Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of its Kids Explorer Camp. Reporting to the Recreation Manager, the supervisor ensures a safe, engaging and enriching environment for children while leading activity programming such as arts and crafts, games, sports, storytelling, free play and themed adventures. The role also delivers premium guest service and creates memorable family experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome children and families warmly and supervise them at all times during activities, keeping them safe and engaged
• Plan and run daily activity schedules, prepare materials and equipment, and adapt activities to group size, age, weather and operational needs
• Lead special programming for holidays, themed resort weeks and family events
• Maintain line of sight and appropriate supervision ratios, keep areas and equipment safe and clean, and follow child safeguarding policies and emergency procedures
• Manage inventory of craft supplies, toys, sports equipment and snacks, and set up and break down activity areas daily
• Supervise Camp Attendants or seasonal staff, hold daily briefings and collaborate with Recreation, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage teams
• Complete daily attendance logs, incident reports, safety checklists and program records, and support the Recreation Manager in evaluating guest satisfaction

Required profile

• 2-3 years of experience working with children in camps, childcare, recreation or educational settings
• Previous hospitality, guest activities or luxury family programming experience is an asset
• Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
• High school diploma required; Early Childhood Education, Recreation or Education preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and peak seasons, and to supervise children indoors and outdoors in varying weather
