Food & Beverage Truck Driver – Heavy

About the role

Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda's largest resort, is looking for a Food & Beverage Truck Driver – Heavy who reports to the Executive Chief Steward. The driver safely transports goods and materials for the F&B department, supporting banquets, events and food and beverage operations across the resort, and may assist other departments as directed by management.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company trucks safely and responsibly, following traffic laws and safety regulations, and complete trips and deliveries on time.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep, and load, unload and secure cargo safely.
• Use communication or delivery tracking tools, pallet jacks and dollies, and ensure proper temperature control for food and beverages.
• Verify quantities and condition of goods at pickup and delivery, report discrepancies, and keep goods secure.
• Support event logistics, inventory movement and setup/breakdown of large events, and help with storage and rotation of goods.
• Maintain accurate trip and delivery records, comply with vehicle maintenance and safety standards, and follow food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Report accidents, near-misses and unsafe conditions immediately, and assist with emergency situations and severe weather preparation.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating heavy trucks is required; logistics or delivery experience is an asset.
• Valid heavy truck driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather and road conditions.
