Chef de Partie (General)

About the role

Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, Bermuda's only luxury urban resort, is hiring a General Chef de Partie reporting to the Sous Chef. The role covers the preparation of food for a la carte and buffet menus, maintaining kitchen standards and supporting colleagues in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Offer professional, proactive guest service and support fellow colleagues
• Prepare all food items for a la carte and buffet menus consistently according to hotel recipes and standards, and continuously improve presentation
• Know all menu items, daily features and promotions, and keep colleagues informed of standards and expectations
• Maintain proper product rotation in chillers to minimise waste and spoilage
• Keep work areas, utensils and equipment clean and maintained
• Share ideas in daily shift briefings and liaise daily with outlet chefs on guest feedback
• Comply with all policies, participate in hotel committees and follow health and safety guidelines

Required profile

• At least three years of general culinary experience; a luxury hotel background is required
• Documented culinary certification (e.g. Red Seal) strongly preferred
• At least one year of international experience preferred
• Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Required skills

• Creative culinary skills
• Fluent verbal and written English
• Teamwork in a multicultural environment and computer literacy in MS Office (an asset)
