Evening Room Attendant

About the role

Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda's largest resort, is looking for an Evening Room Attendant to join its Housekeeping team. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Housekeeping, the role delivers high-quality cleaning and turndown service so that guest rooms remain clean, comfortable and well prepared during the evening hours.

Key responsibilities

• Perform professional turndown service: turn down beds, close curtains, refresh the room and place amenities according to brand standards
• Stage and place guest amenities, welcome items and special requests, and restock amenities, toiletries and supplies
• Clean and maintain assigned rooms, including making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, polishing and cleaning bathrooms
• Empty trash, tidy living spaces and address visible soiling during evening rounds
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for cleaning, additional amenities or special services
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards or operational concerns to the Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper
• Maintain a clean, organised work area, assist with special cleaning projects and follow safety procedures

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in housekeeping, room attendant or a related cleaning role is preferred, ideally in a luxury hotel or resort
• Experience delivering turndown service or working evening shifts is an asset
• Flexibility to work evening shifts, weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

• Ability to follow safety procedures and respect guest privacy
