Groups & Event Reservations Specialist

About the role

The Groups & Event Reservations Specialist oversees the full operation of group bookings at Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, ensuring accuracy, revenue optimisation and exceptional guest service. Reporting to the Reservations Manager, this role acts as the central hub between reservations, sales, conference services and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full operation of group reservations, ensuring accurate selling, inputting and maintenance of bookings to maximise revenue.
• Audit and input group rooming lists, payment instructions, upgrades, VIP designations and guest requests with high precision.
• Monitor cutoff dates, group pickup and rate restrictions daily to protect inventory and contractual integrity.
• Balance group block grids and collaborate with Revenue Management on inventory strategy and displacement considerations.
• Act as primary liaison between Reservations, Sales, Conference Services, Accounting and Operations for group reservations.
• Prepare and lead cut‑off meetings and manage communication of cut‑offs, attrition and addenda to clients and internal teams.
• Handle reservation requests, modifications and calls courteously and efficiently, resolving escalated guest issues diplomatically.
• Support revenue management with forecasting and perform additional managerial duties as required.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in hospitality management preferred.
• 2–3 years of reservations or conference services experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong business acumen, detail‑orientation and ability to thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
