Room Attendant – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Room Attendant ensures guest rooms are cleaned to Fairmont’s exacting standards while delivering warm, proactive service. You will support the housekeeping team, report maintenance issues, and help create memorable experiences for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and stock guest rooms according to Fairmont standards, including night service when required.
• Report maintenance defects and out‑of‑service rooms to the appropriate supervisors.
• Provide courteous, personalized service, anticipate guest needs, and resolve issues with alternative solutions.
• Maintain linen closets, handle lost‑and‑found items, and follow health & safety protocols, especially during epidemics.
• Collaborate with colleagues and act as an ambassador for the brand, hotel, and community.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment is an asset.
• Strong communication, organizational skills and a solid work ethic.
• Physically fit – able to stand, lift (up to 25 lb), push, pull and perform repetitive motions for 2‑6 hours per shift.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Knowledge of hotel facilities and surrounding area is a plus.
