Senior Analyst – Insurance Supervision & Regulatory Oversight

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading international financial services regulator seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Insurance Supervision team. This position offers broad exposure to the global insurance market, working directly with regulated entities, senior stakeholders, and international regulatory counterparts.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk‑focused reviews and regulatory assessments of insurance entities.
• Analyse statutory filings, financial returns, and solvency positions.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and identify emerging risks.
• Engage with senior management, boards, and industry stakeholders.
• Assist with authorisation and licensing applications.
• Prepare reports, recommendations, and regulatory correspondence.
• Monitor global insurance, accounting, and regulatory developments.
• Support onsite reviews, supervisory meetings, and special projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience within insurance, reinsurance, financial services, risk, compliance, regulation, consulting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to assess financial and regulatory information and communicate findings effectively.
• Experience working with insurers, reinsurers, regulators, or professional services firms is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of international insurance regulatory frameworks (e.g., Solvency II, RBC) is beneficial.
