Culinary Apprentice – Luxury Hospitality

About the role

Join Fairmont Southampton’s luxury hospitality team as a Culinary Apprentice. This entry‑level position offers structured on‑the‑job training while you support food preparation and service across multiple outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Sous Chef and culinary team with food preparation activities such as washing, peeling, cutting, chopping and measuring ingredients.
• Support cooking and plating of dishes according to menu specifications under senior chefs' guidance.
• Prepare and organize ingredients, tools and workstations before service to ensure efficient operations.
• Participate in rotational assignments across kitchen stations to gain a broad culinary foundation.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization and sanitation of workstations and follow food safety procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) and current enrolment or interest in culinary training.
• Demonstrated interest in culinary arts, hospitality and willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude, reliability and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
