Fitness Trainer – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda’s largest luxury resort, as a Fitness Trainer. Reporting to the Director of Spa, you will design and lead engaging fitness programs and personal training sessions for guests, ensuring safety and exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group classes such as yoga, Pilates, aerobics, strength and functional training.
• Provide personalized training, assess fitness levels, create tailored workout plans and monitor progress.
• Educate guests on exercise techniques, wellness practices and injury prevention.
• Supervise the fitness area, maintain equipment, ensure cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Support junior instructors, mentor staff and contribute to continuous learning initiatives.
• Collaborate with Spa, Wellness and Guest Services teams to coordinate schedules, special programs and events.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience as a fitness instructor, personal trainer or supervisor, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) from a recognized body (e.g., NASM, ACE) and additional certifications in Yoga, Pilates or Strength & Conditioning.
• CPR/AED and first‑aid certification.
• Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and within a multicultural team.

Required skills

• Certified Personal Trainer qualification (NASM, ACE or equivalent).

• Proficiency with fitness software or digital tracking tools.
