Funds Lawyer – Bermuda Offshore Market

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to join a leading boutique law firm in Bermuda and become a recognised specialist in the island’s fast‑growing funds market. The successful candidate will work on the financing, formation, regulation and operation of private funds across private equity, infrastructure and real estate, as well as the emerging insurance‑linked securities space.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structuring and documentation of private fund transactions, including PE, infrastructure and real‑estate vehicles.
• Advise on regulatory compliance for Bermuda‑based funds and related insurance‑linked securities.
• Collaborate with the corporate team to develop and expand the firm’s funds offering.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal support for fund formation, management and investor relations.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (e.g., Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa).
• Minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in funds law, either from a reputable on‑shore/off‑shore firm or an in‑house legal team.
• Demonstrated experience with private equity, infrastructure, real‑estate funds or insurance‑linked securities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Bermuda fund legislation and regulatory framework.
• Proficiency in drafting fund formation documents, partnership agreements and related contracts.
• Ability to manage cross‑border transactions and liaise with international investors.
