HR Leader – Bermuda, Barbados & Cayman Islands

About the role

Marsh is looking for an experienced HR Leader to serve the Islands region (Bermuda, Barbados, and the Cayman Islands). The role combines strategic partnership with day‑to‑day HR operations, supporting business leaders while delivering total‑rewards and talent initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor on talent strategy, workforce planning, succession and people decisions, using data‑driven insights.
• Partner with leaders to assess bench strength, guide internal mobility, and lead talent reviews, performance management and workforce development.
• Design and deliver career, leadership and learning programs to build capability across the region.
• Coach People Managers throughout the employee lifecycle, strengthening performance management, employee relations and engagement.
• Support implementation of HR programs with COEs, ensuring consistent enterprise‑wide solutions.
• Drive organizational effectiveness, change management, internal communications, inclusion, wellbeing and culture initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation in Bermuda, Cayman Islands and Barbados; oversee immigration, mobility, benefits administration and statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with the Employee Relations COE on complex cases and provide regional insights for global HR programs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of HR experience in professional services or similarly complex, matrixed environments.
• 2+ years in a strategic HR business‑partnering role.
• Proven experience managing pension, benefits and global mobility processes.
• Hands‑on experience with immigration cases in Bermuda, Cayman Islands and Barbados.
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation across the three jurisdictions.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and escalate complex issues.
