Income Auditor – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Fairmont Southampton is seeking an Income Auditor to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all hotel revenue transactions. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Finance & Business Support, you will work closely with multiple operational departments to safeguard assets and support financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Audit daily revenue transactions across rooms, F&B, spa, golf, retail and other departments, verifying documentation and reconciling PMS reports.
• Reconcile cash receipts, credit‑card settlements and electronic payments, and monitor compliance with cash‑handling procedures.
• Identify revenue discrepancies, investigate exceptions, and prepare daily revenue reports for management.
• Support month‑end closing, journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and internal/external audit activities.
• Assist in system testing, upgrades and process improvements to enhance audit efficiency.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of accounting, auditing or revenue accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with hotel systems such as Opera, Opera Cloud, SUN Systems and point‑of‑sale applications.
