Laundry Attendant – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda’s largest luxury resort, as a Laundry Attendant. You will ensure efficient processing of hotel, staff, and guest laundry while upholding the brand’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Sort laundry by type, fabric, and care requirements, handling guest, staff, and hotel items.
• Operate commercial washers, dryers, ironers, steamers, and folders safely and efficiently.
• Wash, dry, fold, press, and spot‑clean items following established procedures.
• Treat stains using approved cleaning agents and methods.
• Inspect laundered items for cleanliness, quality, and damage before returning them to service.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and supply levels in the laundry room.
• Monitor equipment, report malfunctions, and support proper chemical handling and storage.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and Uniform teams to meet daily linen and garment needs.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel or commercial laundry environments preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow safety, hygiene, and environmental policies.
• Positive, reliable attitude with strong teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to lift 30–50 lb loads and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironers, steamers).
• Stain removal and spot‑cleaning techniques.
• Safe handling and storage of laundry chemicals.
