Recreation Supervisor – Luxury Resort

About the role

Join Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda’s largest luxury resort, as a Recreation Supervisor. You will oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the resort’s recreation facilities and programs, ensuring a safe, clean and engaging environment for guests while supporting the Recreation Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all recreation facilities, including Beach Club, Spa Pool, Golf, Resort Pools, and Kids’ Camp areas.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness standards through inspections, staff training, and compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Support the Recreation Manager in developing and implementing recreational programs, seasonal and holiday activities.
• Supervise, mentor and schedule the Recreation team, providing performance feedback, coaching and ensuring adequate staffing coverage.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns and complaints with professionalism, delivering personalized, anticipatory service.
• Maintain accurate records of program participation, equipment usage, incident reports and assist with inventory management and supply ordering.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in recreation, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Hospitality, Tourism or a related field (preferred).
• Excellent customer‑service orientation with strong organizational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk between facilities and lift up to 25 lb.
