Senior Manager, Reinsurance Accounting

About the role

Mt. Logan Capital Management, a Bermuda‑registered insurance manager, is seeking a Senior Manager to lead its reinsurance accounting function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support both the company and its managed entities across all finance activities, ensuring accurate reporting to internal management, regulators and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reporting schedules.
• Review reinsurance contracts and maintain reinsurance accounting ledgers.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, cashbooks and detailed reinsurance analysis reports.
• Support internal and external audits, statutory reporting and GAAP compliance.
• Implement operational improvements and update accounting policies and procedures.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Handle ad‑hoc projects and duties as required.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised accounting designation (ACA, CMA, CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
• At least 2 years of post‑qualification experience in financial services, ideally within reinsurance or investment management.
• Familiarity with the Bermuda insurance market and regulatory environment is a plus.
• Strong analytical ability, problem‑solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, flexible to work evenings, holidays and weekends when needed.
