Client Onboarding Analyst

About the role

The Client Onboarding Analyst ensures banking regulatory requirements in Customer Due Diligence (CDD), AML/ATF and transaction screening are applied consistently. This role creates a seamless onboarding experience for corporate and retail clients by managing documentation, performing KYC/CDD checks, and activating accounts in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client onboarding, collect documentation and perform KYC/CDD checks using onboarding tools.
• Review KYC information and conduct CDD on higher‑risk customers, including complex offshore structures and trusts.
• Communicate with relationship managers and customers to ensure cases are handled within agreed timescales.
• Conduct manual sanctions screening, adverse media searches and investigate alerts flagged by automated systems.
• Monitor and maintain KYC periodic and trigger‑event review trackers to meet deadlines.
• Provide guidance or training on KYC, CDD and other regulatory topics to employees.

Required profile

• A recognised university degree or comparable compliance experience, preferably in a banking environment.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar client onboarding or compliance role.
• Strong working knowledge of banking regulatory and compliance requirements, including AML/ATF, KYC and CDD.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using onboarding tools (e.g., Workflow systems).
