Accountant

About the role

Foodhub is looking for an accounting professional to join its administration team. Reporting to the Group Accountant, this is a hands-on role with a wide scope covering the accounting functions of both internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and organize administrative and financial systems
• Manage billing and claims, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting and inventory accounting
• Oversee end-of-day, end-of-week and month-end reporting
• Review financial reports for accuracy and provide feedback and analysis
• Handle property and asset management
• Take part in preparing financial statements and monthly reporting
• Perform daily accounting and administrative duties and other tasks as required

Required profile

• Internationally recognized accounting designation
• At least 2 years of experience
• Experience in hospitality and/or healthcare accounting is an asset
• Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills for creating and editing spreadsheets for ad hoc reporting
• Proficiency in an accounting software program
