Actuarial Consulting Manager - Life Insurance

About the role

EY is looking for an Actuarial Consulting Manager (Life) for its Financial Services Office (FSO) practice in Bermuda. The FSO works with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated assurance, consulting, strategy & transactions and tax services, aligned to asset management, private equity, banking and capital markets and insurance. The role leads client engagement teams in the Life practice, working closely with EY teams in the UK, Europe and the US on cross-border engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagement teams in the Life area of the practice
• Deliver advice in areas such as financial reporting, risk management, actuarial transformation, financial modelling, M&A, audit support, capital optimisation, investment advisory, new business start-up services and IFRS 17
• Mentor and develop team members and build your own personal brand
• Manage client relationships and drive quality work within timeframes and budget

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related major
• At least 5 years of recent relevant actuarial experience; prior actuarial consulting experience preferred
• Actively pursuing a professional actuarial designation (IA, SOA or similar) with at least 5 exams completed
• Ideally: consulting experience with business development, proposal delivery and some managerial experience leading teams

• Ability to work on multiple shifting projects and travel to meet client needs
