Senior Insolvency and Restructuring Consultant - Bermuda

About the role

EY's Financial Services Office (FSO) Strategy & Transactions team is looking for a senior consultant to join its Turnaround & Restructuring practice in Bermuda. The role focuses on insolvency and restructuring, and is based in Bermuda, travelling to the wider region when needed to meet client demands.

Key responsibilities

• Execute restructuring, liquidation and/or insolvency procedures under the supervision of managers, directors and partners, and help define the engagement scope
• Build internal and external client relationships, anticipate risks and escalate issues appropriately
• Prepare analysis and reports for clients and present findings
• Work as a team member, keeping senior colleagues updated on progress
• Support onboarding of new clients and manage day-to-day tasks within budget
• Build relationships within Strategy & Transactions and across other services

Required profile

• An internationally recognized professional accounting certification (ACA, CA, CPA or equivalent) or a relevant insolvency qualification
• At least three years of recent experience in restructuring and common law liquidations, within a Big 4 or boutique restructuring/insolvency firm, with demonstrated leadership and business development skills
• Commercial acumen and awareness of industry drivers
• Ability to identify key issues, propose solutions and present findings clearly to clients
