Credit Manager

About the role

The Credit Manager will report to the Director of Finance and lead the development, implementation, and management of credit policies for Fairmont Southampton. This role ensures credit decisions align with the hotel’s financial objectives while supporting sales and marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain credit policies in line with Accor standards.
• Evaluate and approve credit applications, set and review customer credit limits.
• Conduct ongoing risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Oversee city‑ledger accounts, ensuring timely posting and reconciliation.
• Monitor receivables aging reports, track outstanding balances, and lead follow‑up on overdue accounts.
• Manage group, corporate, and event billing to guarantee accurate invoicing and timely payment.
• Prepare month‑end accounts receivable reports, bad‑debt analysis, and related financial statements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in credit management or accounts receivable within the hospitality sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess credit risk.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with sales, marketing, and finance teams.
