Independent Non-Executive Director (Board Position)

About the role

HODLife is seeking an Independent Non-Executive Director to join its board on a part‑time, on‑site basis in Bermuda. You will provide objective oversight, strategic guidance, and governance support for an innovative insurer that blends traditional life‑insurance products with digital‑asset and blockchain solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and challenge management’s strategies, policies, and performance.
• Contribute to long‑term planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate financial and operational reports, including capital adequacy and treasury metrics.
• Ensure strong governance structures around digital‑asset exposure and insurance products.
• Participate in board and committee meetings, fostering a culture of integrity and robust internal controls.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate governance, preferably within financial services or insurance.
• Strong background in risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks (Bermuda or similar jurisdictions is a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and ethical conduct.
• Prior experience as a non‑executive or independent director; professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, legal, actuarial or governance certifications are desirable.
