Laundry Supervisor

About the role

Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda's largest resort, is looking for a Laundry Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of its laundry department. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, the role ensures that hotel and guest laundry is processed efficiently and to the highest quality standards in line with Fairmont and Accor brand expectations. The position also leads and supports the laundry team, maintains equipment and supply standards, ensures compliance with health and safety regulations and handles guest inquiries about laundry services.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, pressing, folding and timely distribution of hotel and guest laundry.
• Ensure linen, uniforms and guest garments meet Fairmont and Accor quality and care standards, and monitor workflow, turnaround times and productivity.
• Conduct regular quality checks for cleanliness, presentation and fabric care.
• Supervise, train and coach laundry attendants, assign daily tasks and distribute workload, and promote a safe, professional environment.
• Order, monitor and maintain laundry supplies such as detergents, chemicals and consumables.
• Keep laundry equipment clean, safe and efficient, report malfunctions and coordinate repairs with Engineering.
• Comply with health, safety and chemical handling procedures.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns, work with Front Office and Housekeeping to resolve issues and support service recovery.
• Align laundry operations with room turnover, keep accurate records and follow hotel policies and internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in laundry operations or a related housekeeping support role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience is an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and perform repetitive tasks throughout a shift.
