Resort Driver

About the role

Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda's largest resort, is looking for a Resort Driver to join its team under the Director, Front Office. The driver supports guest experiences and operational efficiency by safely transporting guests around the resort, operating resort vehicles (including food and beverage and laundry transport trucks) and giving guests helpful information about the resort and the surrounding area.

Key responsibilities

• Transport guests around the resort in a timely, safe and friendly manner, and help them load and unload luggage or personal items.
• Give guests information about resort amenities, services and local attractions when appropriate.
• Operate resort vehicles (cars, vans, utility trucks) according to safety regulations and hotel standards, and carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections and cleaning.
• Transport goods and supplies, mainly food and beverage and laundry, and keep accurate logs of vehicle usage, mileage and trips.
• Work with Front Office, Concierge and other departments to meet guest transportation needs.
• Follow hotel safety procedures, traffic laws and resort policies, and respond promptly to guest requests.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional driving experience, ideally in hospitality, resort or transportation.
• Experience interacting with guests and delivering high-quality customer service.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's licence for resort vehicles, including larger trucks, with a clean driving record.
• Flexible to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift luggage and supplies and perform routine vehicle checks.

Required skills

• Customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to keep vehicle logs and report maintenance issues.
