Room Attendant - Luxury Resort

About the role

Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda's largest resort, is hiring a Room Attendant to join its Housekeeping team and report to the Assistant Director, Housekeeping. The role keeps guest rooms clean, well presented and comfortable, meeting the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain guest rooms to brand standards: making beds, changing linens, vacuuming, dusting, polishing and cleaning bathrooms.
• Restock guest room amenities, supplies and toiletries, and stage welcome items and special requests according to guest preferences.
• Keep rooms ready for arrival and consistently tidy during a guest's stay.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for cleaning or additional services, respecting guest privacy and security.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards or operational concerns to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Follow safety procedures and handle equipment and cleaning materials according to hotel protocols.
• Keep the work area, carts and supplies organised, assist with special cleaning projects and other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping, room attendant or a related cleaning role is preferred, ideally in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and perform repetitive tasks throughout a shift.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional customer service skills with a guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and protocols, and to work independently and as part of a team.
