Senior Underwriting Operations Technician – Bermuda

About the role

Chaucer is seeking a Senior Underwriting Operations Technician to join its Bermuda office. Reporting dotted‑line to the Operations Business Partnering team in London, you will ensure accurate capture, processing and reporting of underwriting data while supporting the broader underwriting function.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the dedicated mailbox and respond to queries within SLA.
• Perform KPI and CRM monitoring, complete day‑book entries and use Wizards as required.
• Attach slips, enrich data and verify Charisma entries, investigating anomalies.
• Coordinate exception reports, resolve issues using RCA, and maintain policy history.
• Prepare pricing models, weekly reports and update Business Partner procedure manuals.
• Support underwriting teams with daily tasks, UAT activities and ad‑hoc requests from senior operations leaders.
• Conduct analytics on premium, loss and commission data, identifying variances and trends.
• Liaise with brokers, underwriters and treasury on letters of credit and collateral verification.
• Assist with compliance requirements and ensure accounts remain up‑to‑date.

• Experienced insurance professional with senior‑level expertise in underwriting operations.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills for liaison with internal teams and external partners.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on data quality and regulatory compliance.
