Welcome Ambassador

About the role

Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda's largest resort, is looking for a Welcome Ambassador. Reporting to the Guest Service Manager, the role creates a warm, positive and memorable first impression for all arriving guests, sharing the resort's history and stories while helping with luggage, wayfinding, transportation and arrival needs. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, share knowledge of the resort's history, amenities and upcoming experiences, and escort guests with clear wayfinding
• Provide accurate information on hotel facilities and destination attractions, and anticipate guest needs
• Assist guests with luggage to and from rooms, tag, record and store it according to Fairmont procedures, and offer umbrellas and weather-related help
• Manage front-drive traffic (taxis, shuttles, guest vehicles, ride-share), assist guests entering and exiting vehicles, and keep the entrance clean and safe
• Coordinate with Security and Guest Services during peak arrival and departure times, and monitor guest areas for safety concerns or unattended baggage
• Support guests with mobility needs and help with check-in during peak periods and queue management
• Collaborate with Guest Services, assist with parcel acceptance and secure storage, and support VIP arrivals, groups and special events
• Maintain grooming, uniform and brand presentation standards, and use radios or internal systems to coordinate service

Required profile

• High school diploma required; hospitality coursework is an asset
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, ideally guest-facing; Bell, Doorman or Guest Services experience is an advantage
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods, lift, push and pull luggage up to 50 lbs (23 kg), and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as required
