Customer Due Diligence Analyst

About the role

The Customer Due Diligence Analyst ensures that new products and accounts are opened in compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Working within HSBC's Entity Chief Control Office, the role supports both onboarding of new customers and remediation of existing records, balancing risk management with a strong customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform CDD/KYC onboarding and remediation checks in line with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Gather, review, and analyse customer documentation; update systems and complete related administrative tasks.
• Identify exceptions, flag higher‑risk cases and escalate to Compliance or specialist teams as needed.
• Support Global Standards Customer Data Readiness and regulatory remediation activities, reviewing information, fixing gaps and resolving issues.
• Coordinate and monitor account maintenance, processing and service delivery while minimizing customer impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in banking or a financial institution, particularly in regulatory‑related account opening or due diligence.
• Strong issue‑resolution, time‑management, customer service and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of KYC and regulatory compliance processes.
• Familiarity with customer due diligence procedures and documentation analysis.
