Director of Catering & Outlet Sales

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic leader to drive revenue and market share for catering, destination weddings, social events and outlet sales at Fairmont Southampton, Bermuda’s premier resort.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute commercial strategies for local catering, destination weddings, private dining and outlet sales to meet revenue and profitability targets.
• Lead business development across corporate, financial services, government and community segments, building a strong pipeline of new and repeat business.
• Partner with Food & Beverage and Marketing to create and sell private dining experiences, restaurant buy‑outs and seasonal packages.
• Own forecasting, budgeting and revenue performance, collaborating with Revenue Management on pricing and promotions.
• Coach and develop the Catering & Outlet Sales team, ensuring seamless hand‑over to event planning and execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in catering, wedding, event or food & beverage sales, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and converting opportunities.
• Experience developing local catering and luxury destination wedding business is strongly preferred.
• Previous sales leadership experience and established relationships within Bermuda or key destination‑wedding markets are an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales & Marketing or related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Opera/OSEM or comparable hotel sales and catering systems.
