Group Fitness Teacher (Casual/On Call)

About the role

Join the iconic Hamilton Princess & Beach Club as a Group Fitness Teacher on a casual/on‑call basis. You will deliver high‑quality group fitness classes to guests, creating memorable experiences while upholding Fairmont’s core values.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engaging group fitness classes in barre, yoga, HIIT, cardio and Stand‑Up Paddle Board for all ability levels.
• Assess guests’ fitness levels, injuries and needs, offering personalized assistance during classes.
• Follow Exhale protocol for client greeting, goal setting, health history documentation and follow‑up communications.
• Promote and up‑sell memberships, products and services to generate sales.
• Maintain class participation targets set by the Spa Director.
• Assist in classroom management and substitute teach when required.
• Ensure all equipment and props are clean, safe and in good working order.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and notify relevant managers or departments.
• Adhere to corporate, hotel, departmental and safety policies.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, workshops, special projects, events and promotions.

Required profile

• Availability to work approximately nine hours per week.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in exercise or dance instruction, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Energetic with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills.
